Recently, I studied with Alexandra Billings and Howard Fine in Los Angeles.

I attended various schools in New York and Los Angeles through the years, studying drama, comedy, scene study, audio engineering and post production. As an adult learner, my continuous studies have been in addition to my work experience over the last several decades.

As presented in my essay, due to a challenging upbringing, college was not originally an option. Pursuing a higher education in the arts has been a lifelong dream, and now I'm grateful for the opportunity to realize that vision.

Why USC?

The USC School of Dramatic Arts BFA Program in Acting for Stage and Screen is paramount to my future, not only as an actor but also as an educator, as I wish to pursue becoming a professor of acting to pay it forward for future generations of actors.

Working in the industry since childhood, I learned without the structured curriculum of conservatory training. After studying at various acting schools and working with actors on set, I recognize the importance of this discipline, and it is for this reason I wish to pursue the Bachelor's of Fine Arts Program at USC. My life as a student at USC will enable me to become part of this artistic community. It’s a goal I've waited my whole life for.

I love being an actor and feel blessed to access the highest education imaginable, and I'm excited to finally apply to USC this year.

After high school, I initially planned to attend college, but life presented me with unique challenges, which I turned into opportunities. Producing theater, and working as a SAG-AFTRA-EQUITY actor while devoting myself to activism and humanitarian efforts broadened my abilities. My professional and personal experience gives me a unique perspective and strong foundation that I believe will contribute to my success in college. It helped me realize how precious an education truly is.

I'm eager to gain new insights in USC's BFA Program in Acting for Stage and Screen.

Community

Mission Project.jpg
A good deal of my life has to do with community outreach, philanthropy, and activism. My passion is in bringing people together for the greater good.

I first found joy in nurturing people as a teacher at the age of 23. I learned that lifting up the spirits of others made for a stronger community.

A mission to restore homes in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria was my proudest effort. Feeding those in need is also rewarding, and spreading the word to the LGBTQ community that God loves us all was the message during my national tour as I performed in churches across the country.
